Back in my day.

I was dozing off into my textbook, and I wake up to see this picture. US History, WW2. This guy is handsome. It didn't actually click to me that guys from back in time, could actually look good.

When I think of history, I think of 'old' 'wrinkles' 'mustache' and 'ew'. But can you blame me? All I do in history is look at George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Kim Jong Il.

But this guy. This guy right here. Is running in a lake, with a bunch of other guys, to his death, basically. And this is real. This actually happened. Not saying that other stuff didn't happen..but I mean, this is something I didn't realize before. The other stuff I already realized. But about all these people, people that look Y O U N G. Like this guy right here, looks like a high school, college guy. And he's running in a lake to fight. Photographic evidence. That this guy right here. This attractive guy, and all his brave friends..fought in WW2.

It just never occurred to me before now.
Soldiers are very brave. Very very very brave.
I don't know why this picture had such an effect on me.
